The Birthday Century Weekend

We've planned something new this year - TWO CENTURY RIDES, back to back! Both days will have a metric century option for those that still would like to ride. In addition the Sunday century route will have sag support. Bill Staudt will drive his truck and carry drinks, snacks, ice, spare tubes, CO2, etc., he's asked everyone to pitch in $5.00 to help cover the cost (CGC will cover this for the CGC club members).

For Saturday, we currently planning for a single group; however, depending on the interest, we could have two. Sunday, we are planning for two different paced groups (15 to 17 mph and 18+ mph). Note that both days start at 7:00AM to get a little relief from the heat, but we will start the Sunday 18+ mph group at 7:30AM. For two reasons - they will need less sag support earlier in the ride (they should meet to other group around Rochelle) and it will help the slower group by allowing them to ride at their pace from the start. We'll try this this year and see how it works.
